Anu Meacham joined S²TEM Centers SC in 2022. Prior to joining S²TEM, Anu worked in higher education. She worked as an educator and administrator building the pipeline for students who have been historically marginalized in STEM fields at institutions including Northeastern University, Simmons University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She coordinated and directed the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation and Upward Bound Math and Science programs. Currently, Anu is a PhD candidate in education at the University of Massachusetts Boston whose focus is on stereotype threat, math anxiety and inclusive pedagogical practices. She is dedicated in helping all students to become strong math learners. As the Principal Investigator at Massachusetts Bay Community College, she developed the faculty/teacher professional development workshop for a project supported by the National Science Foundation - Catalyzing Transformative Change in STEM Education through an Institute for Inclusive Pedagogy.
Anu received her BA in mathematics from Smith College and MS in Industrial engineering from Purdue University.
