Active Cohorts 2024-2025
In the 24-25 academic year, SCCMS is supporting three cohorts of teachers with the Mathematical Readiness program.
- Cohort A, now in Year 3, includes a small team of teachers representing Marlboro, Newberry, Spartanburg 1, and Spartanburg 3 school districts. In Year 3 the program goals focus on continued coaching and building the capacity of teacher participants as leaders who share their vision for mathematics learning with their peers.
- Cohort B, now in Year 2, includes a group of teachers from several schools in Clarendon County School District. In Year 2 the program goals focus on additional professional development to refine classroom practices with coaching to support implementation.
- Cohort C, now in Year 1, includes a small team of teachers at the Green Charter School of Simpsonville. In year 1 the program goals focus on building a positive classroom culture and mindset that supports the teaching and learning of mathematics through intentional effective classroom practices. Support to teachers is provided through professional development sessions and ongoing coaching.
