Erika joined S²TEM Centers SC in the summer of 2023. Prior to joining S²TEM Centers SC she was a math and science teacher at a STEM based Charter School in the Upstate.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, Erika began pursuing her Master of Teaching and Learning in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Humanities, Mathematics) Education through Clemson University. Since graduating in 2018, she has been implementing transdisciplinary teaching within the classroom and instructing fellow educators on leading STEM projects throughout the K-5 setting. 

​As a former classroom teacher, Erika has the desire to help teachers and students connect state standards and learning objectives to relevant, real-world experiences. She understands the importance of the student engagement, team collaboration, and teacher content knowledge that is required to provide success within the educational institution.
