Jomia Mack joined the S²TEM Centers SC as an Education Specialist in September of 2017.  In this role, she proactively supports teachers by providing professional development opportunities where the core focus is on learning as an integrated experience for both teachers and students.  Moreover, she fully supports enrichment for all students and has participated in numerous S.T.E.A.M. outreach initiatives to promote student advancement.
 
Prior to joining S²TEM Centers SC, Jomia has held various positions in the education profession: Biology Instructor at Florence-Darlington Technical College, Biology Teacher in the School of Foundational Studies and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Florence School District One, and the SC GEAR UP S.T.E.A.M. Coordinator at the SC Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics.
 
Jomia holds a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry from Columbia College.  She continued her education at Francis Marion University, where she received a M.Ed. with a concentration in Instructional Accommodation.
 
 Jomia loves to make learning meaningful!  She has a passion for teaching and enjoys helping others become successful – not only in the classroom, but in all their endeavors!
